A few years ago (2018), Comfort Energy replaced the heater, blower, and then a little later the AC compressor (Feb 2020). The system was old, came with the house, and used outdated technology. Since the installs, we have been getting Comfort Energy to perform twice-a-year routine maintenance, which includes a roughly hour-long check of the system, oiling the needed elements, and replacing the air return filters. We schedule the heater check in late fall before the winter cold and the AC check late spring before the summer heat. The technicians who have visited, Chance and Stephan, are both professionals, know their job, and are polite and patient. The dispatchers and schedulers, like Sarah, are also great to work with. Overall, very satisfied with the company.

We were back with cool air within an hour
Our AC was not pushing out any cool air even though air was coming through. We called Comfort Energy and they dispatched tech Stephan Reich to the house. Stephan was friendly, wore booties in the house, and repaired the AC unit. Luckily, he had the capacitor in his truck and we were back with cool air within an hour or so. He also cleaned the AC unit and tested the vents to make sure cool air was coming through. Highly recommend.

Professional from Beginning to End
5 stars! This is the second time that I have used Comfort Energy. The first was 13 years ago when they installed a complete HVAC system for a new home. This time they replaced an old gas furnace + AC with a new Mitsubishi heat pump at a townhouse. As was the case 13 years ago, Comfort Energy was professional from beginning to end. Maurice provided an excellent quote and explained the entire process. They took care of the permits and made sure that I received the maximum amount of rebates. When it came to the installation, Fabian and Guillermo were the best. They explained every step, communicated regularly, and were always polite and professional. The service person, whose name was Chance, did a thorough evaluation of the problem with a focus on saving us as much money as possible, to either repair or replace our 30-year-old heat furnace. He quickly determined that our inlet filter was too dense (it was a MERV 11 and should have been a MERV 8) and that that was probably causing the heater to go off and on every 5-10 minutes. He then tested and confirmed his hypothesis. He also performed a CO test to make sure there wasn't anything more serious going on. Finally, he gave us a good idea of replacement options, which we should probably do before the next winter, but not necessarily right away. All in all, this is exactly the kind of assessment we needed, and it cost orders of magnitude less than what was estimated by the first service company we had come out. Chance was great, and Comfort Energy is our go-to for heating and cooling service and/or installation from now on.

We had a great experience with Comfort Energy. Big kudos to the company, to Jaime and Mike who helped us, they're really great! Highly recommended: 1) Very on time! Both inspection and installations, they come at the time they promised, and send messages to let us know that they're on the way. 2) They're detail oriented. They take quality very seriously, install the heater beautifully, handled all the small places (like we used to have water dripping outside and they helped us fix that). They're very professional and willing to spend time for good work. 3) Jaime and Mike helped us to install the Nest thermostat. Our wiring is very tricky, we thought we can't install Nest. Jaime and Mike explained different options, respected our opinion, and ended up with a simple solution to solve this issue perfectly. During the installation, Jaime compared the position very carefully to make sure it aligned perfectly on the wall. 4) They protect our floor whenever they're working, they organize all the wires and pipes beautifully, not just working but also working elegantly. Jaime installed the Nest for us, and vacuumed all the dust around the area after it was done. All the working areas were cleaned up carefully. 5) They take time to show us how it's working, how to operate, they have the right tools to diagnose and verify it's working properly. They're also very knowledgeable about this domain and willing to answer questions patiently. We're so happy with them, and really appreciate Jaime and Mike's great work. This literally made my day to have our heater fixed so confidently. Highly recommend them to anyone who needs similar service!

Sharing my friend’s review that doesn’t have a Google Account: I just want to give a ‘shout out’ to ‘Comfort Energy’, who installed a A/C heat pump for me, on 7/11/2024. Kyle Allison, (sales), Beto Lopez, Craig, (office contact) and the actual installers, were all very professional, and their communications to me were excellent. My sales person, Kyle Alison, was extremely good to work with, clearly explained everything, answered all of my questions. Kyle also highlighted all of the potential energy-saving rebate programs that I could apply for, for purposes of getting cash rebates. The company, also on my behalf, applied for a cash rebate, which I did receive! On a specific date, the city was to do the permit inspection at my house. After I had waited at home several hours with Beto Lopez, I got an urgent call from my dentist’s office. They said that I needed to pick up my dental appliance right away before they closed their office for the long weekend. Beto immediately offered to stay and wait at my house for the city permit representative telling me that I could go ahead to my dentist’s office, and that he’d be waiting for me at my house upon my return. While I was gone, the permit person did arrive, and Comfort Energy’s installation passed inspection. I was incredibly grateful to Beto Lopez for his offer to wait at my house. Therefore, I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for someone to install an A/C/Heat pump.

Comfort Energy employees are friendly
Comfort Energy employees are so friendly and helpful. Even though I resolved the cold, like A/C that was running, coming out of the velours, Stephan was checking out everything in the panel outside of the house, making sure all was OK. By me turning off the power button on the remote, and then waiting a good 10 before turning it back on, fixed the issue. We couldn’t figure out why one of the inside units was making a rattle sound. But, when I kept pressing pressure on the outside of the unit, it got slightly less noisy. Stephan took his time, trying to explain how the system runs. He was very respectful and kind. He took his time in explaining how the Mitsubishi works. I would definitely recommend Stephan, in helping you out.
